Typical behaviour of humans. Once in a comfortable position, most "pull up the ladder".

Singapore Was Once Oppressed. Now It Bans People for Siding With the OppressedThere are many forms of political cowardice in this world but few are as foul as the formerly oppressed pulling up the ladder behind them and joining the people who once held the whip.open.substack.com

Greta behaving bravely and responsibly. Sadly, too many older adults continue their cowardly self-delusion - too afraid to face reality.

FYI, the Economist is owned by the very rich. Praising billionaires is a little like praising kings and queens of old. Elaborate narratives elevating their greatness no matter how mad, bad, or incapable they were or are. The rich ask for our gratitude, & ultimately our continued subservience.

The rise of the deserving richToday’s billionaires are more likely than yesterday’s to have made their own moneywww.economist.com

I'm not holding my breath for this vital type of reform being implemented by either major party. Follow the money. publicintegrity.org.au/research_pap...

Numbers to confirm what most people sense. No wonder people feel powerless and distrustful. So often the Albanese government has gone against public opinion e.g. more than 3-in-5 Australians support a gas tax, 3-in-4 want a ban on gambling ads and 79% hold a negative view of Israel.

Albanese keeps backing lobbyists over public opinion, our analysis showsFrom salmon to supermarkets, gas to Gaza, the PM has consistently backed those with power and wealthwww.deepcutnews.com

If you don't believe that the big end of town donates millions to both major parties out of the kindness of their hearts... And you want change You need to aim for a majority crossbench of independents and Greens; since neither major party will change the rules.

Voters are starting to ask a new question about politics, moneyDebate about money in politics has traditionally revolved around whether politicians have broken the rules. But voters are increasingly asking what good judgement looks like.www.abc.net.au
