in re Ray Bradbury's "There Will Come Soft Rains" (which, in the original Martian Chronicles, occurs on today's date), I didn't realize the very first published version of the story, in Collier's magazine, was set in April 1985. (the current edition of Martian Chronicles now sets it in 2057).
I’m quite pleased with the Dwarf Mini. I never got around to imaging the North American Nebula with my full telescope setup. But two hours with the Dwarf Mini, and I got this. Also the just past full moon.

Sharks get cancer. People claiming otherwise are trying to sell something to the desperate. And even if sharks didn’t get cancer, eating shark wouldn’t cure your cancer any more than eating LeBron James would make you better at basketball.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) put out a little infographic for International Moon Day. It compares the diameter of Australia to the diameter of the Moon. This always throws me because in my mind, the Moon is actually bigger!
What a desecration of this holy sport, this show is an abomination. (Loving every minute of it)
