There are and will always be fans who take things too far, but we need to question who benefits from painting an entire fandom (dominated by women and queer people) that has data-supported proof of their devotion contributing to a better world as "cringe." www.slashfilm.com/2228965/heat...

I'm just gonna say: it somewhat baffles me that people who are understandably skeptical of opaque LLMs as legitimate sources of information will suddenly go full on "the computer KNOWS" when they are using opaque tools to "detect" AI. The computer does not know.
Susanna Kearsley❤️ Gillian Green, publisher at Tor Bramble, told The Bookseller: “HM Wolfe has confirmed that Daggermouth was written entirely without AI. We stand behind our author, and we do not recognise third-party AI detection tools as a fair or reliable measure of authenticity when used on their own.”
Okay, let's do it. Here's why we can(not) talk about Ariana Grande. gossip-reading-club.ghost.io/why-we-can-n...
Thank you, so much, @leahschnelbach.bsky.social and @reactorsff.bsky.social, both for giving me a very good excuse to rewatch Felicity in the year of our lord 2026 and for helping me to refine one of my perennial pop culture rants into an actual working theory of the purpose of speculative fiction!
Reactor Magazine"[Felicity] was also, looking back, such a rich text—a masterclass, really—on the purpose of speculative fiction." @maxinegkaplan.bsky.social on the startling joy of Felicity's genre shift, and how we can't be surprised by TV anymore:
I spoke with Gayle Rankin, the actress behind my favorite #HouseoftheDragon witchy lady Alys Rivers, about that “weird and freaky” dinner scene (and what Ewan Mitchell improvised), those dragon eggs, and more:
Today in "Mo is using the Battlestar Galactica book to Yell About Some Stuff," an excerpt from the work in progress below. Am I still fucking annoyed at how annoying some people were in the Watcher comment sections during BSG's final season? No idea what you're talking about, hmm, will ponder:
*standing up on the plane* No, getting together a TV couple with will-they/won't-they romantic chemistry is NOT a mistake. You may be listening to conventional wisdom about the TV show Moonlighting, but as has been comprehensively shown by an array of critics, that program's problems had nothing t-
Christopher Bird*standing up on the plane* Call me Ishmael. Some years ago--never mind how long precisely--having little or no money in my purse, and nothing particular to interest me on shore, I thought I would sail about a little and see the watery part of the world. It is a way I have of driving off the spleen
After finishing Hulu's new crime thriller #Furious, I'm still turning it over in my head, in part due to one of Emmy Rossum's rawest performances since her Shameless era, a fearless turn from Lola Petticrew, and (to my absolute delight) Scoot McNairy as potential romantic endgame???
Do YOU want to write for Episodes? Great news: now you can! We're open for freelance pitches again after a long absence. Here's a pitch guide: episodes.ghost.io/episodes-is-...
Finally managed to write about the best part of The Vampire Lestat for @theshippinglane.bsky.social — which is that even in the midst of all the glam rock and horrific trauma, it's Loustat's love story that still remains the series' beating heart.
This is all it takes to ruin someone's career before it even really gets started. Nevermind that the "technology" hasn't been vetted, the research hasn't been peer reviewed. They say it is, so now it is. www.theatlantic.com/technology/2...

Daniel Hart has worked on #IWTV from the beginning, but the amount of music in #TheVampireLestat eclipses last season "two or three times over." I spoke with the series composer about everything from closely collaborating with Sam Reid to drafting the season's final song on the road:
Spoke with #HouseoftheDragon Season 3's best-kept casting secret (at least early on), Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, about his "most Game of Thrones day" on set and that he's not the only link (we both made that pun) between HOTD and the Legend of Zelda movie:
That's all I needed from SDCC, everyone can go home now.
Carly Lane-PerryIt's official: #InterviewWithTheVampire has been renewed for S4, which will be called Anne Rice's Queen of the Damned. (I should've known this announcement was right around the corner after getting this S4 tidbit from Rolin Jones.) collider.com/interview-wi...
Really enjoyed this interview. I thought Daniel Hart did a tremendous job capturing Lestat's life through song. What are your favorite songs from the season? Mine, though I waffle: 1) Stained Glass Eyes 2) The Loneliness 3) Big Boss (for the LOLZ) 4) Brutal Love 5) Big Bad Wolf #TheVampireLestat

I am incredibly thrilled to see where Liz Meriwether's post New Girl projects have taken her and Furious is no exception. Carly is spot on about this brilliant cast. I also want to shout out Quincy Tyler Bernstine, whose dynamic with Emmy Rossum leads to some of the most unexpected moments.
