It's insane how many people don't know anything about Myst. Myst is the reason we started used discs for computer games, and the game that made mainstream culture start considering video games to be art. It is like more significant to video game history than any film was to film history.
headfallsoffi think one of the biggest underlinings in just how bad the western industry has been about its own legacy is like. myst isnt just an old game. it was final fantasy vii before final fantasy vii. it was that fucking huge.

I don't think I should run Netflix. But if I did run Netflix, I would spend 0.25% of the $20B annual content budget ($50M) on making weird genre movies with upcoming filmmaking talent. Give them meaningful creative freedom, but also take a first-look on their next movie.

John ScalziIn my considered opinion, so much created slang/cursing comes across as cringe precisely because it doesn't sound like anything anyone would ever have coming out of their mouth, this especially true of adding/changing letters in "fuck"
This is good. Also, I'm sad to hear that Good Girl's... second season saw a huge drop off in viewership. I thought it was terrific (although they definitely needed a "Previously on..." to kick off S2).

I can’t imagine the horror genre without the iconic and now classic films directed by the brilliant Chuck Russell. Truly some of my all-time favorites. May he Rest in Peace, while his movies remain eternal. My condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
