The amount of times people have lashed out at me because I needed time and space due to my disabilities is immeasurable, especially in streaming spaces. People expect to get unconditional and constant support, but won't give that in return.

Exactly!! I do notice when I can't be present for certain people when I'm dealing with health issues. That they treat me differently or get upset at me. It's so dissapointing.

Exactly this! People need to understand that being disabled means we may need more breaks and may not be as present. And that disability affects everyone differently.

Please respect disabled streamers and creators. They are working twice as hard to give you content because their bodies or minds fight them the entire time. They have to take breaks more frequently and are often exhausted. Don't take it as an insult when they can't be there 24/7.

I hate that disabled creators are treated like an afterthought in spaces. We deserve the same opportunities as others and accommodations. We have things to say and share too. And we shouldn't be mistreated and forced to work 10 times harder than others just for crumbs.

I really don't like how disabled creators get treated in the streamer space and the content creator space. We deserve better. We shouldn't have to worry about others feelings while we are struggling with our health. And having to always explain things to avoid possible drama.

As disabled creators, we will naturally have moments where our health worsens. It's part of life. And it's so dissapointing when others in the streaming space or in general assume we're being mean to them. Instead of checking up on us and our wellbeing. Disability means something.

It can be really hard being a disabled streamer because sometimes we go through times where our health gets worse. And we're not as present. And a lot of people take that as a slight against them. Because we're not able to be in their streams or support them as much.

Twitch so I am glad I can be an active chatter again without the stress and anxiety of being called out midstream for not doing things right or being talkative enough <3 Although I will miss streaming while I do my surgeries, I do like what I am getting back from my break <3

I stopped using lurk commands and just silently supporting. When I got really sick, people then said I stopped supporting them bc I wasn't visibly in chat and they got super weird with me. Since quitting streaming, I feel less anxiety in chats again. Meeting people was the #1 thing I loved about

When I started streaming in 2020 a few streamers were really weird about lurking. I thought it was nice when people came and did !lurk bc I felt less alone and also cared for. But a few people had accused their lurkers of just coming and chatting up and lurking of fishing for shoutouts so eventually
