yeah the way lurkers get so many people to partner I just feel like that isn't appreciated enough! I love letting people chill and co-work or parallel play but it feels like twitch hates lurkers ;w;

Right? I love that the disability community is so understanding and even encouraging of lurkers! it makes it easier and now I have time and energy to interact <3

I think the sentiment on lurking has changed a lot since then I just have bad RSD so it was hard on me to get over feeling like it wouldn't happen again. Luckily the disability community is usually supportive of lurkers and spoons <3

Twitch so I am glad I can be an active chatter again without the stress and anxiety of being called out midstream for not doing things right or being talkative enough <3 Although I will miss streaming while I do my surgeries, I do like what I am getting back from my break <3

I stopped using lurk commands and just silently supporting. When I got really sick, people then said I stopped supporting them bc I wasn't visibly in chat and they got super weird with me. Since quitting streaming, I feel less anxiety in chats again. Meeting people was the #1 thing I loved about

When I started streaming in 2020 a few streamers were really weird about lurking. I thought it was nice when people came and did !lurk bc I felt less alone and also cared for. But a few people had accused their lurkers of just coming and chatting up and lurking of fishing for shoutouts so eventually
