and even the Iliad itself both celebrates and deplores violence and suggests an empathic understanding of the fate of the losers of war, including the women. the lament of captive women is a repeat theme in later Greek drama.

Matt DarlingI think it sort of worked - especially because it let them play with the audience expectations during Thrinacia (which used Orphic imagery for the mundane activity of "eating a burger"). But I was definitely somewhat disappointed during the scene itself.
