Not hard to find situations where costs go up because a business’s inputs become more expensive, and profits are static or down.

Feed costs, energy, and disease outbreaks are real and legitimately push prices up. There are examples of collusion and monopoly but not every price increase is due to mustache twirling villains. Meat’s also terrible for the environment and dirt cheap steak is not a particularly progressive goal.

Not really, I’m saying a lot of people who are years away from social security and Medicare could retire if you increased their net worth by a million bucks liquid. They would absolutely not need to work if they don’t want to.That doesn’t mean the market could not possibly crash so bad that changes.

This is dumb. Plenty of people who are not 65 are close enough to their number that a million dollar windfall would put them over the top.
