Feed costs, energy, and disease outbreaks are real and legitimately push prices up. There are examples of collusion and monopoly but not every price increase is due to mustache twirling villains. Meat’s also terrible for the environment and dirt cheap steak is not a particularly progressive goal.

I'm a vegan you don't have to tell me, but I'm also not surprised meat and egg companies are evil and greedy according to their own profit margins going up with price increases 🤷🏽‍♀️ and profits always go up when prices go up due to market forces (real or artificial) rather than costs go up

Not hard to find situations where costs go up because a business’s inputs become more expensive, and profits are static or down.
