Even if I ultimately end up dissatisfied with the show (I give it 50/50 right now lol) I'm still happy it introduced me to the books because they were great.

I totally get it, they made some really questionable changes for the show and deliberately slowed the pacing down for some reason. And aside from Tim Robbins and Rebecca Ferguson the cast is kind of a mixed bag.

I mean they were okay but it's time to get this ball rolling, you know?

I briefly disparaged this season of Silo on here and then deleted but I am admitting now I was wrong, even though the first couple of episodes *were* kinda buns.

Somehow AI has solved math and coding and jobs yet I still have to have a job doing approximately those, but for a boss instead of what I like, and the choices of bosses are all AI VCs.

investors aren't pumping money into b/c they're wildly irrational and deluded about its capabilities or profitability. they're funding it because eliminating jobs and destroying epistemic reality are useful outcomes to them, and the tech *is* doing those things
