The only reason why copilots rollout didn't lead to me immediately switching to Linux is because I'm stupid and dont know how to do it without losing g a bunch of my video games

Micro$oft raising their 365 subscription renewal price without any AI optout finally got me off the subscription treadmill.

I am not going to use anything "intelligent" from the company whose word processor won't let you make "don't split a table row over two pages" a default.

In my experience, there's one really fucking useful thing about co-pilot. It is so useful that either the person who made it was intending for this interaction, or they should be banished for raw incompetence; It is really great for convincing nerd youths to look at Linux

They put a new key on the keyboard, first time they've done that since the late 90s/early 00s, for Copilot. And istg no one calls it that. Everyone ik who has that new keyboard just calls that key goddamnit.

I recently purchased several items and needed to interact with customer service on multiple occasions. AI IS AWFUL. THE WORST. USELESS.

Every time copilot tries to “help” me I tell it to kill itself.

$600 per seat annually, utterly useless. I had it for a year then cancelled. I fed it my own documents to summarize. It made mistakes. I asked it to populate a presentation template, it failed. I could go on. But clippy at least didn’t had a subscription you had to pay. Clippy’s ahead.

I think I count in that 4.5% because I had it format a spreadsheet one time and only one time ever. If the 3.5% of the non-weekly “adopters” are using it like I am, sounds like things are going great.

I dont care how good a product or application suite is. With my oppostional defiance disorder havin' ass, If it installs without my express consent and am essentially forced to use it without options. I will delete that shit out of spite.

Supply and demand doesn't function anymore. Cars are rotting in parking lots but stay unreasonably price. Same story with housing, and with AI.

Success is the enemy of responsible sustainability. These big companies have met too much success and they didn't think it was going to cost them later. They're also running out of ways to distribute that failure onto the rest of us.
