Would all the traffic turn on Kenmore and other narrow streets? Because drivers wouldn't wait for Broadway. Just like cyclists won't use the bike lane on Kenmore
Lake. Big Lake.27 июл., 21:06You put the bollards in one place - Thorndale Avenue, let’s say. The CTA can lower the bollards to get through. Nobody else gets through. If this exasperates drivers, fvck ‘em. Ride the bus then. We’ve given too much space to cars. We have to take it back.

I love my cycling friends. But I don't want to be hit by a cyclist, scooter rider nor x-country team because I am trying to walk on a sidewalk.

Also from a handlebar of a scooter I've heard from cyclists & running groups that the Loyola team takes over the whole path at the lake

Mark Britt27 июл., 22:33I know statistics. You are anti-car. I am pro-safety & respect. I have had 3 hip replacements. I don't want to spin the lucky wheel to have a 4th because people think their usage is more important. I just want to be able to walk safely on a sidewalk, just like cyclists want to ride safely.

It’s drivers that are creating the dangers that cause bikes/scooters to use the sidewalk

Mark Britt28 июл., 01:31I hate that too. I also hate when I've been hit by a bike on the sidewalk as they have to quickly stop & hit me because they couldn't weave between varying pedestrians. Or get hit by running groups of 20 who take over the whole sidewalk, even though I move against a fence, with nowhere else to go

Mark Britt28 июл., 01:38At one time the plan was to have Dusable/LSD extend along the lake to the suburbs. But plans changed in the late 50's, and all the condos were built in the 60's. Imagine not having Hollywood Beach! Or plovers.
