Enough electricity to power 3 million homes. That's the scale of the AI data center buildout happening around San Antonio. Texas should build infrastructure that serves Texans, not just the Greedy Few.

That tension between big tech and local needs is real. Who actually gets a say in how our infrastructure gets built? Worth asking. Check out the1776.org if you think citizens deserve more voice in decisions that shape their lives.
So what happens when China wins the Ai race and the US Ai bubble pops? "They're clearly terrified," Mozilla's Krikorian said of the U.S. labs confronting the rapid rise of Chinese competitors. www.axios.com/2026/07/18/c...
100% these benefit no one but the govt and those who are building them.aka capitalism
Nobody seems to be asking how the isolated and inadequate Texas grid can suddenly handle this demand. TLDR: Turns out socialist money changed a lot of attitudes. texasscorecard.com/state/effort...

I love this for Texas. A state that’s already stealing water from other states, a grid disconnected from the rest of the country (so if there’s a heating or cooling emergency, will they just power, the data centers & let everyone else die?), And It’s Neighbors will love the annoying sound generates.
I wonder how many know this.... bsky.app/profile/rbre...
Robert ReichData centers’ diesel backup generators are emitting pollutants that can cause health problems for residents. That’s on top of contributing to higher electricity prices and sucking up communities’ water. Is it any wonder communities across the country are organizing to stop them?
This is the direction we should be going in... bsky.app/profile/evcu...
Chris MederA modern wind turbine offsets its entire lifecycle CO₂ footprint in 5–12 months. Financial payback is often around 6–12 years onshore & 10–15 years offshore, with operating lives of 20–30+ years. For wind, the carbon mortgage is usually measured in months. The carbon savings are measured in decades.
Data Centers are very high maintenance and require a lot of water to run. The pollution they give is NOT good for our environment!!!! bsky.app/profile/anth...
AnthropoceneMPG 🌊We are at a turning point with regards to global warming. We don’t need another technology to devastate our planet. #DataCentersSuckOurWaterAndElectricity
Not good for our environment warming the land around them by up to 16 degrees. SAY NO to Data Centers. bsky.app/profile/jess...
JessicaJust wait until these eyesore monstrosities want to come to your neighborhood. Goodbye trees. Expect to hear a constant, electrical humming, warmer temperatures and higher energy bills. Fight like hell to keep data centers out of your area.
There's a reason they want the land and resources.....say NO to Data Centers... bsky.app/profile/linc...
The Lincoln ProjectTrump is opening the floodgates for his billionaire buddies to snatch all the land and resources they can. Consumer advocate and environmental activist Erin Brockovich is fighting back like she always does. Watch the full pod here: https://youtu.be/MRI_oSa41z8
Dp your homework... the pollution from these Data Centers, and the water required to run them is insane. SAY NO TO DATA CENTERS! bsky.app/profile/bruc...
Bruce LittleA contractor building Meta's data center flushed its "closed-loop" cooling system straight into Cheyenne's sewer. It carried a bacterium and knocked the city's water-reuse system offline for months. They sell these as sealed systems that barely touch the water. This one poisoned a city's.
Save electricity for data centers by introduction of a non-electric light source.
It’s a good thing Texas has more than enough water to support all those data center’s needs too.
