Eventually the growth rate will stabilize, but there are a bunch of solar panel plants coming online this year, so at least theoretically the next terawatt will come even quicker.

Not in the US….at least as long as MAGA has anything to say about it. Plenty of coal and gas left to burn, folks.

But each unit of new solar power isn’t offset by a decrease in fossil fuel energy. It just increases energy used. We’re still dumping a record amount of fossil fueled filth into our air, water, land. There’s no magic hope pill - the only solution is to stop burning filthy fossil fuels. Period.

Interestingly it looks like the graph is slowly moving from J-shaped to S-shaped. It's early though, may just be a blip.
