I refilled the hummingbird feeder today. That hummingbird who spends the day on his branch near my window staring at me (whom I've named Rockwell) has found a branch even CLOSER where he has stared at me all day. 😁 And he's been tweeting at me, too. If he's saying thank you, I GET IT ALREADY, lol.

I don't have a hummingbird feeder, but I do have a hummingbird who, when I'm on the patio in a chair shaded by an umbrella, ducks under the umbrella, sees me, gives a clear, "Oh, shit, it's you" start, and ducks out again. Multiple times.

Next comes flying around your head if you're late or the feeder is full of ants. It will sound like a bee the size of Alaska.

Oh that level was two years ago for me.

They can be quite expressive. I've been dive bombed and fly-byed and yelled at! I live in Indiana and i look forward to them coming back every year. All boys are Hector... the girls are a little friendlier and get names of their own.

Imagine that situation year-round. That’s how it is here. And they harass anyone who comes by they don’t recognize. They keep me filling that feeder. As do the gila woodpeckers. 😁

The birds are loud as hell when you’re nice to them lol

I don't normally do feeders, but we had crazy cold weather one winter, and the Anna's hummers who overwinter because of year round feeders needed extra. I put out feeders during the day and took them in overnight. The birds were landing on my hand as I hung up the feeder. Wild!

I have flowers for them as much of the year as possible.

And he's been tweeting at me nonstop. Buddy I promise the feeder's full you don't have to supervise me
