They did this in the Atlanta Olympics, it revealed if I recall about a dozen athletes who were AFAB, raised and living as women, and who in fact had a Y chromosome. They stopped after that. If you define man as has a Y chromosome it will be way more than one life ruined.

Are they testing the men too? Historically women who transition to men are much stronger and have better stamina than "normal" men, and yet men who transition to women are generally much weaker and rarely bother the score-keepers. It really is insane they way they're targeted.

This is where careers are destroyed based on new information about chromosome diversity and intersex identity previously unknown. Given that humans have varied genetic traits related to sex hormones , this idea will end badly for those outside the gender binary.

This backfires tragically every time it's introduced. Shame on the WTA for acquiescing to pressure when they should know better. History will be repeated once again because bigots refuse to learn or grow.

Do people really think men will cut off their dick just to do better in sports? Really? Jesus. As you notice, no one is checking the men to make sure they were born men.

It will likely demonstrate that genetic sex is a curve and not everyone is where they think they are on that curve.

WTA just waiting to get sued by a woman who had an unknown genetic abnormality what does not affect their game in any way essentially being outed in public. Depending on how high in the rankings they are this could be a significant payout in terms of lost earnings let alone damages.

IMHO, I think the idea is to discourage women's sports, period. If you make every athlete undergo these invasive exams, many of them will stop playing.

It's been done before and caused a lot of distress because funnily enough, there's more to sex than high school genetics and several women discovered at that time that they're intersex. It resulted in discrimination and public abuse. I'm so tired of these people. They don't give a fuck about women.

And every player should refuse. Let them field a Wimbledon championship with the 173rd- and 212th-ranked women in the world battling it out.
