We never talk about how women took over all the “men’s jobs” with no formal education/training, literally kept the country running, even played baseball (which we JUST got back) to keep up morale, and then were sent back to the kitchens (but not the professional kitchens) when the “boys” got back…

Gibson became a welder at Todd Pacific Shipyards in Seattle, helping build destroyers for the Allied war effort during WWII. Gibson helped pave the way for millions of women who stepped into critical wartime roles.
