I can smell the smoke today (in central NY). Brings back not-so-fond memories of many Fairbanks summers.

I hope someone writes a strongly worded letter to Tom Emmer and Pete Stauber to get their wild fires under control.

We just cancelled our plans with friends in NE Wisconsin.

Here's the surface level smoke. I'll be in the purple for days.

What if it was all snow?

OMG I am glad I have spare filters for my air purifier and plenty of KN-94 masks around. I suppose the odds this will happen where I live are pretty strong.

It is pretty bad here in S Ontario ATM. On a day that was supposed to reach almost 30°C, we are currently at a nuclear winter 22°C.

Yikes! According to that map I’ll be in the purple zone. Today AQI is. 180 and rising. Eerie glow outside.

you would think it would be in our best interest to help our good northern neighbors & friends extinquish their wildfires... maybe in a kinder, gentler nation... or whatever we were fed... the "suck cycle" of politics and climate is inter-mingled...

Tomorrow?? We have at least another day of this?? Dear god.
