Data centers create few permanent jobs typically 25 to 150 per facility short term construction jobs yes permanent jobs no. Tech co's routinely seek massive tax breaks to lower operating cost. They put a strain on local utilities and use immense amounts of electricity and water they are a bad idea.

First storage drives were the size of a bedroom or more. Now you can fit many times that on a stamp. Data centers the size of a small town will likely follow the same path & need exponentially less space and power with every year delayed
