What should also be studied is exactly what data centers are for, and whether or not people are willing to give it all up until better tech emerges. They are meeting a demand that many people are not aware they have, or are unwilling to admit they have.

Let’s Be Frank

AOC introduced a bill that would put the brakes on new data centers until Congress can study the environmental, economic and social impact of AI. This should have happened from the very onset of these death traps. The ones that are already operating should be forced to go through the same scrutiny.

I asked my Fever fan, LGBT-supportive mother if she saw ppl booing Sophie Cunningham during the game. She said, "No, they hardly played her." I said, "Good, she's a transphobe." Mom rolled her eyes and huffed off saying, "Whatever." Don't dismiss the role of fandom in anti-trans sports arguments.
