I dislike Nolan because none of his movies have ever really gone far enough with enough nuance to erase their general heft as Cool Guy Regrets Using His Power While Women Suffer but I don't actually want to dislike this movie with any energy, esp since it's getting people reading the written poem.

I'm not pedantic enough to deeply critique the Odyssey film but I have a huge complaint: the arrow trick was way cooler (for a MOVIE TOO) if you go with the general interpretation that the arrow is being shot through small holes in 12 consecutive axes - not 6 pairs of axes leaning together.

there was a cool study a few years ago about how ADHD-trait-havers did better in a foraging simulation because they moved on to a new berry bush just a bit faster, which turned out to be more efficient. i.e. ADHD has been ADAPTIVE, evolutionarily speaking.

I think the problem is thinking as if you can prevent or cure ADHD rather than make space for/support a way life in which ADHD is not hell.
