What Cornyn is saying actually coincides with the thinking of every Republican I’d expect. Every Republican is okay with making a claim in any instance, knowing that the lack of integrity is acceptable amongst them all. Proclaim the best but have no real qualms when the worst occurs. Just an oops.

So Tillis and Cornyn’s position is that the slush fund and IRS immunity is disgusting, illegal, immoral, and unethical but they are willing to confirm the man who agreed to it as Attorney General of the United States as long as he takes it back.
