as promised, the conversation where chatgpt 5.6-sol proves that there does exist a parsing expression grammar that recognizes all palindromes the proof machinery is v. weighty but it's all spelled out explicitly it got long but this is part 1: motivation and discovery chatgpt.com/share/6a6420...

Check out this chatHere's a chat someone thought you'd want to see.chatgpt.comFelladonna

still chewing away at this, btw. a proof is nice and everything, but if there is indeed a palindrome PEG, I want to see it, so I'm talking the model through generating it occasionally it gets stuck, but we're down to five steps remaining

More to the point, this is happening in *non-white* countries as well: Japan, Turkey, and India have huge far-right nativist blocs. So it's not merely white supremacy or nostalgia for the days when the West ruled. Nor is it happening purely in developed post-material countries.

what’s going on with the world man. why is the far right resurgent everywhere? it’s easy to blame whatever policy boogeyman (neoliberalism, housing shortage, immigration, etc etc) but I think it has to be something deeper. maybe lived memory is dying out of how evil fascism is

This is interesting empirical evidence that the weakness of LLMs in law is fundamentally about a poorly digitized legal and jurisprudential corpus.

I think that's because all of the cases are from SCOTUS and there is a lot written about them. I can still tell the answers were written by an LLM (because of the types of mistakes made), but my last experiment generated answers that were in range of the lowest grade in the class. 2/2
