my take on this is that this is good because the type of power that the left *should* be investing in is not the power that finds a comfortable home in the bank accounts of millionaires and billionaires. a left power is necessarily more low-to-the-ground, rhizomatic (sorry), and anti-capitalist.
Peterthere are people who make serious money on the left, but the ecosystem just has less money flowing around overall. there are streamers and podcasts and YouTube channels doing well, but you won't peel back the curtain and find 6 figure investments from partisans like you do on the right
