Sweden, next door to us, had a grifter running public health so they went effortlesly from "closing schools would be premature" to "it's too late for closing schools to matter". Health services in Stockholm were overwhelmed to the point of involuntary DNRs on the elderly, nothing like that here...

So using AI to assist in decisions about loans & credit, migration & nationality, employment and education is always going to reflect the rotten biases of the rotten establishment, and this EU regulation can only end up further shielding that establishment.

AI agents trained on sociological data sets are *whiteness* engines. Through averaging they compare inputs to an arbitrary and barely-articulable social norm. Using them fit decision making just shifts accountability for discriminatory decisions off individuals to the invisible "they".

For example: one obligation is "high-quality of the datasets feeding the system to minimise risks of discriminatory outcomes" But does anyone believe that a large non-disciminatory dataset has ever existed? Doesn't a basic understanding of structural oppression tell us no such thing *can* exist?

I don't think I agree with this. They compromised again and again on "Aryanism" in pursuit of the thing they really centrally believed in, smashing the working class -- they viewed exterminating Jews as definitionally central to that mission. SS recruitment would be the case in point.
