I’ve been listening to papers’ and magazines’ politics podcasts for years and I can confirm that the issue here is not “the public can’t explain to journalists why they don’t like Keir Starmer”. The hacks clearly don’t like the reasons they’re hearing, but there is no public reluctance to explain.

I like that "different people dislike him for different reasons" becomes "nobody can consistently explain why they dislike him." Two fundamentally different factual claims with the latter largely favoured by people who want ro believe liberal politicians are unpopular because the public is broken.

And here we go again. Liberals are upset that we have lifted sanctions on Iran. That's a good thing! Sanctions are murderous and they almost exclusively harm citizens and not the government.
