One thing that orgs like Amnesty absolutely rely on when operating in liberal democracies is being able to get good press on whatever they're doing from the likes of the Guardian and NYT and this absolutely isn't available here

I can't say I'm surprised that @amnestyuk.bsky.social decided they'd rather throw trans people under the bus than fight for us. That's what cis led orgs do, every time.

So the thing about these two factions is that they're both wrong, pushing for anti-trans discrimination and can therefore get to fuck.
