one of the best writing tips i picked up when i was learning about writing stories is that everybody is an expert about something. if you try to cater to that expertise in your story, you will end up straying too far from whatever you were trying to achieve in the first place.

This has been hitting women, particularly BIPOC women, in animation pretty hard over the last few years. Animation has historically been a boys club, and we’re rapidly backtracking *and* losing institutional knowledge
