We audited every NBA/NFL/MLB/NHL team that left its market in the last 20 years. All 7 of them. Zero left after an authorized majority-public offer. Not one. Ever. Oregon has already authorized 64% of the Blazers renovation. The receipts: edankrolewicz.substack.com/p/every-team...

We had an executive session to discuss the term sheet. Soon after we went into a long council session. At no point during the executive session did we reach consensus on the term sheet, let alone get a temp check. Even if it’s a “draft,” it sends the impression this is our starting offer. It’s not.

Alex Zielinski

Worth noting here that it appears most councilors were completely blindsided by this term sheet announcement yesterday:

1/ OK! We analyzed all ~5,300 pages of public records on the Moda Center deal — every email, text, contract, and invoice produced so far. Before Portland commits ~$850M+ ($1.12B after interest), here’s what every Portlander should know. It’s not the story you’ve been told. 🧵

Traveling for the next few days, but all of this information just dropped and there is so much information about the entire Moda process none of us have heard about including Project Mt.Hood details, the early promises made, etc internet do your thing portlandor.govqa.us/WEBAPP/_rs/(...

Tom Dundon could cover 50% of the Moda Center renovations with just 4% of his revenues. 4%! www.ripcitynotripoff.com/what-he-makes

He rents it for $1. He makes a fortune on it.Every dollar that flows to Dundon because he controls the public Moda Center — what it adds up to (~$100M+/yr), what the team sold for ($4.25B), and how much MORE the renovation hands him ($27–41M/yr,...www.ripcitynotripoff.com
