Building destruction system for OVRLRD is almost complete! Partially-destroyed buildings which settle get baked into static meshes until they're needed again, which means we can wreck loads and loads of buildings without killing the frame rate. store.steampowered.com/app/2163160/...

#RecipeOfTheDay is Catalan Toast or, as it actually is in Catalan, Pa amb tomaquet. The correct procedure is to rub the olive-oiled dampened toast with garlic and a halved tomato, but I grate it. If we had better tomatoes I’d have more trust in the dabbing-approach! www.nigella.com/recipes/cata...

ICYMI last week: Wrote about games industry layoffs, self-defeating cost-cutting, and how none of the big players in videogames (or anything?) seem like they're capable of any coherent strategy.
lincoln carpenterNew from me: "Being engaged in videogames over the last decade has meant watching a cohort of publisher executives inherit an industry of products, professionals, and consumers they seem to actively resent for failing to produce instant, infinite profits."
