I don't find the "AI tools train you to rely on them" thing very compelling, like yeah, that's how good tools work. It sucks when someone takes away your phillips screwdriver or your autocomplete IDE or google search for APIs. What you're saying when you say it is actually "It's a good tool."

WIRED's continued reference to things flagged as AI by "AI detectors" without seeking any kind of independent proof that those detectors actually work is bordering on journalistic malpractice and is wildly embarrassing, particularly for a "technology" magazine.
