interminably she tapped the battered sign, annoying most and enlightening a few this stuff, these legal, safety, and especially healthcare consequences of cissexist denialism, are why I constantly roll out this talking point. sex assigned at birth tells you nothing of reliable use for medicine.
it's Lazzie B! once again!! 😱This is a struggle for control over their precious cissexist teleology. They want to erase trans & intersex people. They want a codified binary. They WILL push for 'birth sex' overriding all other records. They're desperate to claim there's a material basis. Sex is neither binary nor immutable.

Here's another way to see that rent is probably the most important long-term affordability constraint: In a world where rent (shelter) prices increased only as fast as the rest of the economy, purchasing power today would be about 13% higher (measured by wages)
Joe FishAnyway, the chart you should be posting is how rent prices look like compared to wages. Note: This has been going on for a long time! The housing crisis is a long standing issue.

The actual harsh truth about MAHA is that it is an anti-vaxx, anti-science, pro-diarrhea conspiracy movement. It cloaks its arguments in abstractions about "big pharma" and "free speech" to generate *the exact op-ed The Atlantic keeps publishing*. Movements like this need to be fought, not placated.

As the piece admits, the second MAHA took power it started gutting basic science, promoting quack treatments and loosening health regulations. *This* is what the movement is. Yet it's up to critics not to conclude or predict anything from these actions and bend over backward to find common cause.

thinking again about the greatest scene in cinema history
ceejfor my money, there has yet to be a single movie moment that surpasses the sheer kinetic hilarity of brendan fraser hucking a chair at kevin j. o’connor in The Mummy. I have probably watched that 17 second clip on YouTube more than any other video

FYI there is no "real" reason why Rome "fell." Its power waned for the usual, mundane reasons: widening gap between rich and poor, inability to maintain infrastructure, incompetent leadership, pointless wars, endless persecution of marginalized groups who performed vital labor, etc.

this is also why standing up for the rights of trans people is good politics regardless of what polling says - "we are standing up for this group of people no matter what, because it's the right thing to do" is very fight-coded! people respect that! it signals you'll fight on other stuff too!

the fight/don't fight axis remains the most important fault line in democratic politics, and that the moderates have mostly failed to find any way to take the 'fight' side is why they are getting their asses handed to them in primaries right now
G Elliott MorrisThis is why DSA candidates are really taking off now instead of eg in 2020 or 2018 www.gelliottmorris.com/p/2026-07-07...

There is no significant voting bloc that has made trans people in sports their primary bugbear. The only reason it is treated as a hinge issue is because centrist and right-wing democrats have conceded literally everything else to Republicans, like tax, healthcare, and minimum wage policy.
