The least realistic bit of Star Trek is that everyone has agreed on one video calling platform and it reliably works every time, even for newly discovered aliens. Not once do you hear Worf go “Try unplugging the microphone and plugging it back in? Maybe that’ll work.”

Nintendo’s implementation of passkeys is kind of just broken, period. I’m sure locking them to the device they’re created on is marginally more secure, but it’s sure not what I wanted to happen when using 1Password to sync them between my desktop and phone.
