After a year’s intensive research featuring 1530s Augmentations Books, endless notes, maps, and index cards, I am embarking on a huge stitched work listing the names of the men and women who were pensioned after the dissolution of the monasteries. The lives of these people were turned upside down.

I am going to be happily busy at the @newchaucersociety.bsky.social Congress next week. I’m co-leading three different creative workshops AND serving as the Congress’s “artist in residence” where I’ll be working on a conference diary and chatting all things medieval comics and GuMM!

Calligraphy workshops are FULL! Some spots remain in humor writing, crafting events, and haiku comic adaptations (you will be stuck with ME in any of the three! Hee hee!)! Come get creative with us!
