Genuinely ruined my evening like 1) it was good soup and I was looking forward to having more of it and 2) soup has got to be one of the most evil foods to have to clean off of a floor, especially when your floor is very uneven and so the soup is running away from you

Imagine me, slippers besouped, frantically trying to contain the broth before it goes where I can't follow, scooping up the floor noodles, wiping down all of the brand new groceries I just got yesterday which have also been besouped,,,

-Made soup for dinner (delicious) -At the moment I go to put leftover soup in the fridge, a housefly flies directly into my face -I drop my soup -Soup all over the bottom shelf of the fridge -Soup all over the floor UNDER the fridge -Now I am down half a roll of paper towels AND my leftover soup 💔

Like, in a moment where students are being hammered from all sides to abandon critical thinking and let the slop machine generate all their thoughts for them, you're gonna eliminate one of the very few dedicated resources that exists to help them think and write beyond a comp course??

I've worked in my university's writing center as both a tutor and a graduate coordinator and I send my students there every semester because I think it's one of THE most useful resources a university can offer. This is just a mindblowingly disastrous move
