The world is on fire but the Rebelle people finally added honest-to-god color variation to the brush engine and I'm over the moon.

It's rough. And I feel like a lot of it comes having "this could be worth X someday" repeated at me all the time. I was given a set of limited-edition candy bars i was afraid to touch for the longest time as a kid because my mom instilled that they might be worth something. It's a sickness.

my old art books are all so beaten up because i would just take them everywhere with me in school and read them all the time now i barely touch any of it

watching a video of someone going through a book collector's library and seeing all the little human touches like notes, autographs, improvised bookmarks and all that, just got me to thinking a little about my own stuff and how pristine most of it is now compared to how i used to handle stuff

just worrying about "ruining" things when i use them for their intended purpose writing in books removing figures from their packaging shit like that

sometimes i think about how being raised by someone highkey fixated on the resale value of everything has kind of ruined my relationship with my personal possessions
