GenAI and ChatGPT have sped up the departure rate of the Trust Thermocline. It's incredibly difficult to prove Evidence of Absence, to perfectly prove gen AI tech has never been used in any element of production. So when evidence that it has been used slips out, the trust falloff is WAY faster.

I feel like I'm just going to have to stop supporting anything that doesn't make their whole production process completely transparent. Can't trust anyone anymore because I know it's too tempting to Never Have To Pay Wages Again.

I get it. As a fellow artist, I understand how terrifying it can be to be on the receiving end of an internet dogpile. But we have to keep being loud about calling out GenAI and ChatGPT whenever we see it, cuz it's all we have when our system does not encourage honesty or ethics.
