John Mearsheimer is collaborating with, and funded by, the Moscow-based Valdai Club, famous for its long list of pro-Russian propagandists. Here are a few at their "Forum Of The Future 2050" event, hosted by "Putin's philosopher" Aleksandr Dugin:

He said Ukraine would collapse politically. He said Ukraine would run out of soldiers. Each time he was wrong. And again, yesterday on Piers Morgan: "Russia will hold all of Donbas by year's end." He'll be wrong again because he doesn't listen to Ukrainians, they have no agency in his theories.

Feb. 2022: "I don't think Russia is going to invade." Sep. 2023: "The Ukrainians are doomed to lose." Jan. 2024: "It's ridiculous to think Ukraine can hold the line in 2024." Apr. 2025: "It's unimaginable Ukraine will hang on beyond 2025." He said Kharkiv would fall. He said Kyiv would fall.

John Mearsheimer's political theories are bonkers. He's completely disregarding the sovereignty of nations and self-determination of peoples - the bedrock of modern international law. And since his political theories are so wrong, his predictions are also consistently wrong...

Ukraine is not fighting "two people", it's fighting the Russian army that is invading their country. That army is using Iranian drones, shipped over the Caspian Sea. Cutting off that supply of weapons to Russia IS part of getting Russia out of their country.

That's what they're doing! Iranian drones are part of the Russian war against Ukraine, you can't separate those and say "yeah, well, these are *Iranian* drones, so it's fine if Russia use those to kill Ukrainians". Iranian shipments to RU are valid military targets as long as Iran is a supplier.

There is abundant evidence that WB is a major supplier to the Russian troops invading Ukraine. Russians say so themselves. It's a valid strategic target, Ukraine wouldn't waste hundreds of long-range drones on it if it wasn't. The strikes are well within what international law allows.

Iran is providing military tech, drones, and training to Russia to support their invasion of Ukraine, since 2022. Iranian ships in the Caspian Sea are transporting weapons to Russia that will then rain down on Ukrainian cities, killing civilians. They are absolutely a valid military target.

There is an abundance of evidence if you look for it. I just linked to some to prove to you it exists. WB literally had a whole section dedicated to just supplying their troops "for the SVO". (They've since removed it)

Russian milbloggers say it will harm their frontline operations significantly. The gear the Russian army provide is garbage, thus soldiers and volunteers buy replacements at WB. They're a MAJOR supplier. It's absolutely a valid military target and within what international law requires.

There are tons of screenshots of them selling both dual-use and strictly military items - drones, fiberoptic coils, scopes, military grade body armor, helmets etc. They even had a special "SVO" section! Which only confirms my point - once it's inside Ukraine it's Ukrainian cargo on Ukrainian railcars/trucks. Clearly not something anyone would respond to if it was attacked. If it's in Poland or Romania, or other NATO territory, then Putin isn't able or willing to take the risk of an attack.
