Something a little closer to what you’d like might be something like TR-49? That’s more of a narrative focused investigative game. Also the Frogware Sherlock games are shockingly good?

My go-to obscure-ish game for solid sleuthing is A Hand With Many Fingers, which is compelling because it’s about real things that happened but that also means it’s less narratively driven in some sense. But it’s also a game for Olds who remember card catalogs in libraries.

Are you looking for narrative or clever sleuthing/earnest detective work? Those aren’t mutually exclusive, I guess, but I know some I would recommend for one or the other and they do differ

Hello everyone! Many of you likely saw this image recently with the Apple TV+ 'Neuromancer' promotion. Some know, others don't, but this artwork is mine, created alongside actor & post-production artist Milton Menezes, as a personal project and a homage to the original Neuromancer romance

Like, it at once feels of-a-piece with the original Broken Reality, but its aesthetic influences are also immediately and obviously felt. This isn't riffing on vaporwave even if it's still informed by it; it's riffing on the era of iMacs and early websites even if the jokes are contemporary.

It is extremely bizarre to feel nostalgic for 2019 by way of 2000, but Broken Reality is managing to make me miss both. I'm amazed how easily it feels like it's pivoted from expressly vaporwave meme aesthetics to a sort of 2000-era look without missing a beat.
