Will never cease to amaze me, how the worst things said about Trump don’t come from Dems, “resistance” libs, or never-Trump conservatives. They come from people who worked for him or in his admin. And those folks are dismissed as much as anyone else.

And about this idea of “an event surrounding a ticketed event” and crowd management, fuck that. “We didn’t want people to come by and see THEIR fireworks.” JFC. Come up with better solution that isn’t blowing six figures of tax payer dollars in such a disruptive way, late at night.

Heard these last night & doggo was terrified. WTF was Canadian Heritage thinking?? It’s one thing that the cancelled Canada Day fireworks were used for an event that’s NOT free to the public. But not issuing notice?? People could’ve still enjoyed the fireworks, or least not be taken be surprise.

Had the worst case scenario in my mind: I make the allusion, he gets it, but then he just stares at me from a thousand miles away.

When I was in my late 20s, I found out that an EVP where I worked was a HUGE Battlestar Galactica revival nerd. I tried to think of ways drop BSG allusions, to see if his ears would perk (“it was a real Siege of Kobol when we addressed it”). But I couldn’t muster the courage or shamelessness.

Makes me think of remigration bozos here in Canada. I’m white & my wife’s family is from the Caribbean. The idea that our VERY YOUNG country is being taken away… by people like my wife’s family, who’ve been productive, law-abiding citizens. Helluva a lot more valuable than online rage-baiters.

It feels like much attention is being put on how Camacho-esque it is to host UFC on the WH lawn. But not enough attention to how Trump is once again using the WH to feature a supporter/campaign funder’s business.

One of my fave Len lines… he was on a Podcast and they were discussing a UK news piece about someone dressed as Batman dropping off a criminal at a police station. Len quipped “I suspect that the next article will be his obituary.”
