Finished that game, it was a lot of fun. Now we've moved on to Escape Academy, which is a first-person puzzle game. It's a good time if you've got a partner who also likes puzzles. It's on PC and all the consoles. If you're willing to wait for a sale, I got the game and all 3 DLC packs for $10.

I actually know the answer to this and it's slightly insane. Google pulls from Wikipedia to determine if a place is a city, town, neighbourhood, whatever. Brighton's first line describes it as a "seaside resort" so Google Maps thinks it's a neighbourhood and doesn't display it in the "city" font.

Most people masked and practiced social distancing. Most people got the vaccine once it was available. Most companies switched to remote work. People *did* come together and make sacrifices for the public good. Do not let the complainers rewrite history.

I keep seeing people saying stuff like "The lesson of Covid is most people would rather die than help each other out" and that is completely wrong! Most people understood the severity of the situation and acted accordingly. Do not let the loud minority convince you that everyone else is selfish.

When rich tech guys go out in public to announce that we've reached the singularity or whatever, I'm sure some of it is marketing bravado, but I have read a lot of stuff written by these guys, and for the most part they are true believers. These guys are in a cult & they have radicalised each other.

Given some of the youth sports discourse I thought I’d give my semi-regular plug for Withrow Park ball hockey. It’s a community house league that costs ~$200 for a two month spring season. All abilities are welcome and everyone has a great time being outdoors at the park in the spring.

Some of them today are in big enough countries that if you miss you can miss by a lot.
