The next POTUS will likely have to be Lincoln, Washington, and FDR in one, to keep the dollar as the default reserve currency. Let alone to prevent Taiwan's conquest, NATO's disintegration, etc. etc. Maybe no one like that exists. But I don't think that would even be a mandate for President AOC.

To be clear: I neither think she will, or should, *win* the presidential nomination. The next non-MAGA president will have basically one task: Keeping American power in the world from vanishing entirely, as our adversaries pounce. Others may think AOC has that top of mind. I do not.

She'll run. It's likely a question of when she'll announce. Objectively speaking, she has a near-lock on Schumer's Senate seat if she wants it. But she'll look at the field, see how few credibly powerful female, or progressive leaders there are in it, and come to the inevitable decision.
