I didnt mean Plato was anti slavery by any means. I just meant we know the early Christians read him and thus possibly other Greek philosophers who's views may have differed. Either who were lost to time or who those like Eurpides "hid" sentiments in the characters of their plays (Hecuba)

That's true but the Cappadocians studied the Stocis and Platonics, so I just wonder if similar views were lost...like Dio Chrysostom though he was also I think contemporary with Christ

Not as a mass movement beyond isolated slave revolts, but people may have felt that way that we don't know about. Gregory of Nyssa was a slavery abolitionist around 375 AD or sometime around then. How many earlier views could have been lost due to papyrus decay, iron ink, or lack of writing skills?

There basically just isn't a lot of reason to do much manufacturing in West Virginia. It's far away, boats are slow, wages are higher than in poor countries, and sadly huge amounts of people cannot pass a drug test. The workforce is less educated than, say, Ontario or the Inland Empire.

I think Reno especially (and downtown Vegas and Atlantic City to a lesser extent) have been hurting a lot more than the strip for years due to Indian gambling even before the apps exploded. Vegas obviously is also trying to make itself a sports gambling destination via pro teams and tournaments too.
