She is but they didn't have much choice but to suspend her the second time when she came out with her 'sorry but actually I'm not sorry' remark after she'd been let back in by the party after apologising for the original remarks.

We should really just make citizen reporting of this sort of thing far easier? I get resourcing wardens etc is hard but if there was a easy way to upload people parking illegally etc. Then it'd be huge boon for councils and wider society

it will upset people but i think this is the right decision. The choice over how to die with dignity envisaged in the right to die bill isn't a real choice while social care is so broken - it's basically 'dignitas or else we can't make any promises' for too many people & that's just wrong.

I’ve said for a while that Burnham is an excellent communicator. He’s also quite a normal person (for a politician), which is why this sort of stuff comes naturally to him.

My gran had dementia in her later years so yeah I felt similar emotions. There are not many of us who haven't or won't come into contact with the care system so I'm a little bit hopeful that a PM who clearly cares about it and has the ability to make an argument *might* make progress on it.

Oh yeah you are right about Starmer and yeah this all may go nowhere with Burnham but at least he is making the case.

What's so frustrating is Starmer could have done this two years ago. That would have been a moment where he could have made the argument for breaking the manifesto and looking at tax to start fixing these problems. Instead they pushed all the difficult stuff into 28/29!! Fair play to Burnham today.
