Sure, some men are jerks. Like the ‘influencer’ who carried a bath to the top of Snowdon for a selfie and dumped it there. But other men are heroes, like the teenage rugby team who carried it down. Well done lads. We see you. Show your sons. www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/...
Meta has officially abandoned all pretense of giving a shit about clean energy or decarbonization. Truly an evil company. If you work there, you should quit. If you use their products, you should stop.
🚨 Congress could soon weaken the protections that help keep us safe from toxic chemicals. Reports indicate the Senate could begin advancing legislation to weaken our nation’s chemical law known as #TSCA as soon as this month. Tell Congress: Protect TSCA. Protect our health.
Here’s a theory of change I hear every day: More disasters will catalyse climate action. Here’s what it completely misses: If we don’t know what to do and don’t think we can make a difference, it won’t. That’s why talking solutions is so critical. We won’t act without them. More ⬇️

This beautiful red and yellow flower is the endangered Globito, named for its tightly closed, balloon-like buds that only open in strong sunlight. Endemic to the high-elevation shrublands and grasslands of #Ecuador, It sits next to an Andean Chamomile #TwoForTuesday #TwosDay #BloomScrolling #Flowers
Governments could be educating everyone on food insecurity. In the UK we waste 40% of food & rely on imports. Growing food in schools, communities and at home, won't solve all the issues but can raise appreciation of the challenges & provide additional fresh food. www.theguardian.com/business/202...
So let me get this straight: -Europe is having back to back record heat waves -ocean temps are record high -Greenland ice is melting -Antarctica has a heat wave in its winter -El Niño is going to be record breaking And no major news outlets are reporting this 🤔
There was a time when extreme heat was relatively rare. But not anymore. Heatwaves, which are already responsible for almost 500,000 deaths a year, are becoming more frequent, more intense & more dangerous. To help, here are nine ways to stay cool when the temperatures spike: tinyurl.com/3wndpwbw

It’s HOT! Don’t forget to unplug your local Data center to stay cool.
There was a lovely community gathering to say farewell to Neil Barrett today. Neil was a key figure in FoE's early days as an organiser, writer, the Shareholders for Social Responsibility group, & playing a key role in the anti nuclear bike rides to Canberra. www.foe.org.au/neil_barrett
When reality surpasses fiction! Top: fictional forecast for August 2050, broadcast by French TV in 2014 to warn about the consequences of global warming. Bottom: Real French forecast for yesterday, June 22, 2026.
Today I signed an Executive Order for every worker exposed to extreme heat on the job. It requires multilingual heat safety guidance for workers, a review of construction site heat safety practices, and heat illness prevention plans at every mayoral agency.
I wrote this 7 years ago In it I called for cities to better embrace greenery, reflective coatings, water and shading to tackle urban heat. More relevant than ever…. www.theguardian.com/cities/2018/...
