tbh, the way I write (not true of all authors) makes it easy to "prove" that I wrote my books. eg. I have multiple drafts pre-editing per book. When revising, I use track changes. I would rather send this stuff to a publisher than have them run any of my work through some "detector." But...

I was put in the observation group for a study, which means no more immunotherapy and I'm done with active treatment. Now all I have to do is hope I don't get a recurrence. For the type of cancer and response I had, recurrence rates are <10%, mostly in the first 3-5 years, and mostly Stage 4.

Reading a book (in English) that uses French formatting for the dialogue. I'm aware that other languages might do it this way, but I'm only familiar with French, and the MC is French, so I assume that might be the reason for the choice? Never encountered it in an English novel before.

well, I have now finally set my phone screen to turn on with a double tap and figured out how to restart it without pressing the power button...so I suppose the lack of power button isn't critical now...still not great of course. But I never turn my phone off unless restarting, and battery is OK.

In case you are wondering: 1) It absolutely bangs. 2) There are no magical elements. 3) I have a five-book series planned and Book 2 will hopefully be out in March.

If anyone has any suggestions of things I should try, let me know...I don't know much about phones lol. Is it worth trying to get it repaired?

ugh the power button on my phone (samsung a32) seems to be dead. It's been iffy for more than a year, though not that bad...this week it's been bad on and off. Can't turn on the screen now unless I plug it in (or get a call) so I basically can't use it if I'm out. It's almost 5 years old.

One thing I did not know about chemo beforehand: chemopause. Whether it's permanent is a toss-up at my age. I don't think I had much in the way of side effects from this, but for some people, going through menopause while dealing with chemo side effects is a real pain.

I finally managed to get a new prescription for my thyroid med today, which was somehow way more complicated than it should have been. I had been trying all week 😭
