My meta-discourse is that spending the day arguing about a movie review is a right and proper use of social media, and infinitely more fun than the usual thing that happens around here

I think a lot of people would be willing to make themselves look terrible publicly for a chance to save their kid’s life, and I also think that most of those people would correctly recognize that a career in elected public service would then be barred to them
