The first two X-Men movies are genuinely great but goddamn of if I don’t cringe anytime Wolverine flirts with Jean Grey and the bit just does NOT land.

I have now seen the Avatar Aang movie. I thought it was alright. Animation and score were both gorgeous and the voice performances were great, but I can’t help but feel a little whelmed by the story.

The worst thing about SMT5V’s achievement list is the requirement to get all six endings on one continuous series of NG+ cycles because for some reason Atlus decided the Virtual Trainer should have two separate achievements tied to beating every single combination of endgame bosses you can have.

Many such cases.

This is the same crowd that coped and seethed over Captain Marvel making a billion dollars back in the day. I’m pretty sure they still believe the lie that Disney bought seats for the film to artificially boost its ticket sales.

Game finished and ultimate superboss beaten. Best game I’ve played all year. Somewhat annoyed I waited as long as I did to finally play it because it would have been an easy GOTY contender in 2024. It’s in the running for favorite non-Persona 3 MegaTen game right now.

There’s a boss fight toward the end of SMT5 Canon of Vengeance that gave me the same kind of euphoric feeling of experiencing “Peak Atlus” as the final boss of Digital Devil Saga 2 and I’m technically not even done with the main story yet. This game may actually just be a straight 10/10 jfc

Sobering reminder that for a lot of the old, tech-fascinated souls in industries like film, video games, etc. AI to them is just the next advancement in technology and they’re more interested in its alleged “potential” than its reality.

Watched Supergirl (2026) Kinda mid tbh but I can see a good movie in there. Acting was good, though the villain left no impression on me. Storyline is mostly fine but I felt like the point they wanted to make got hamstrung by writing choices I found a bit disappointing.

Update: I’m in the final act of CoV right now and so far it’s been everything I hoped it would be. Game’s aces. Forget Nocturne at this point; it’s shot right up to the top spot next to SMT4. If the ending sticks the landing they’re currently building to it’s going in the Top 10.

I’m feel like I need a better exposure to Car Seat Headrest than I’ve been given because every song of theirs I’ve listened to (willingly or otherwise) has sounded identical to the last.
