Councilor Avalos comparing this process to other investments the city makes with taxpayer money. Also diving into the landlord-tenant analogy - landlords have to make sure the space works, tenants are responsible for major upgrades benefiting the tenant.

The league has to get rid of this Dundon guy. Uber Eats and DoorDash hid tip buttons and set default tips below 10%. As a result, tips for delivery workers fell 79%.  In January, we made these corporations change their apps — and in the past six months, we've put $104 million back in delivery workers' pockets.  This is only the beginning.

East Portland, spread the word: the D1 People’s Picnic is back on August 8 at Parklane Park! More than 300 of our neighbors showed out last year, and everyone had a great time enjoying the free food and family-friendly festivities.

Our neighbors want their local grocery store back in Parkrose, and most of all, they want to see Don back at his shop.

By fully implementing the oversight system that advocates fought hard for! That has to be the first step imo.

Special shout-out to @kanalforportland.bsky.social who has been holding it down on council on this issue! Really grateful for his leadership and partnership. I'm locked in, we've got a lot of work to do to prevent more backsliding of our oversight systems!

Not my district, but c’mon man. I’ll be sending a letter to Parks about this (with a cc to the D3 councilors), but this is one of those moments where in the midst of the many ongoing policy challenges that Portlanders experience that have no near term solution, you don’t add some new pain like this
