In other words, NYT is increasingly becoming a gaming and recipe company, with revenue from that business helping subsidize the higher costs of their journalism (which has been weaponized in favor of trans genocide). They depend on liberals not caring enough to boycott them.
I have looked through the NYT's financial statements and people should know that the NYT's profits have gone up significantly since 2022, not because of news-only subscription revenue, but because of revenue driven by puzzle and recipe subscriptions, alone or bundled with news.
Ken JenningsThis may be true of others but I actually got express permission from the trans community to keep NYT games and recipes. I also have a news subscription, which is arguably worse, so I had to specifically send in a written request. Took 30 days but I got approved.
At best, elected republicans have no problem with the abuse of children.
Jen BenderySen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) stared off into space today when I asked if he thinks fellow Ohio Republican Rep. Max Miller should end his reelection bid amid allegations by his ex-wife that he abused her and their 2-year-old daughter. www.huffpost.com/entry/live-u...
Ok so this lady says solar panels are getting built on "the most productive farmland" in her area. Which just ain't true at all. It ain't true here in NC either. Where I ALSO hear that talking point over & over again. Smells like astroturf! So let's get the dirt on solar farms & dirt ✨
David RobertsI genuinely don't know what to do about this. In our diseased information environment, one MAGA-adjacent "influencer" can do more to shape public opinion than mountains of studies or facts. Where are the pro-clean-energy influencers to counter this shit?
"It is such utter and complete chaos." DOGE terminated more than 1,500 NIH grants, totaling more than 2.5 BILLION in lost funding. They cancelled any research that didn’t follow Trump’s agenda, including anything related to HIV/AIDS, vaccines, and more. www.theatlantic.com/health/archi...
One question a writer could ask themselves upon seeing all these groups signing onto a letter about harm reduction would be, "Why might this issue be of concern to this broad a cross-section? Is it just blanket coalition support or some other shared concern?"
Ana Marie CoxAnd this is how you can tell it's an Atlantic article.
This InfoWars caper is going a little too well. We need to staff up a bit. We're hiring a Social Media Lead, who will help make InfoWars the network of the future. We need someone who is extraordinarily online, has big ideas for how things break through in 2026, and can pull those ideas off quick.
Social Media Lead, InfoWars at Global Tetrahedron jobs.gusto.comNEW FROM ME: A frenzy of cruel and unusual ICE flights over the last few days suggests the Trump admin is ratcheting up its ethnic cleansing campaign. And it may be increasingly desperate to find willing collaborators. My breakdown: gillianbrockell.com/frenzy-of-cr...
How has ICE ramped up arrests dramatically while keeping public awareness low? A large part of that is escalating arrests by state and local police under 287(g) agreements; arrests which often look a lot like classic racial profiling.

I don't know that the leftists are telling moderates to get out of the party. They're telling *Chuck Schumer* to get out of the party, because his constituency would tolerate a substantially more left wing candidate. But it mostly seems like it's moderates who are trying to exclude the leftists?
Josh MarshallAmong many other things this is a good illustration of the necessity of untethering ideology and "fight" in intra-Democratic battles. The party is very united on fight, very divided on ideology. You unite on fight, let different constituencies/states find their center of gravity on ideology.
Broadly agree with this but unfortunately there are a couple things that must fall into that 80% because if they don't then I don't trust a guy to come through on the rest of it.
Vibecession Forever60 Democrats with whom I only agree like 75-80% of the time is worth way, way, way more to me than 49 Democrats I agree with 100% of the time. And I feel that way about basically every issue. And honestly, if you don’t agree, I really am not sure you understand how all of this actually works.
Hey! So, this has gotten worse! I previously shared here that Acton and her campaign were set to meet with the ODP Progressive Caucus leadership on the 28th. That's today, and it was a worst case scenario. (1/?)
Erin Reed1. In major news, the Ohio Dem Party has banned the Progressive Caucus from criticizing candidate for Gov. Amy Acton's transphobia. It has now applied more pressure to quiet criticism of anti-trans politics than it has on its own nominee to stop embracing them. Subscribe to support our journalism.
